Difference between sensible heat & latent heat

Sensible heat
Latent heat
i) It is the amount of heat energy required to raise the temperature of water (liquid) from 32oF to the boiling point (saturated liquid) at a given pressure.
i) It is amount of heat energy required to change one state to another state of a substance of unit mass without changing its temperature is called latent heat.
ii) In sensible heat moisture content remains constant.
ii) In latent heat temperature remains constant.
iii) Sensible heat is measured without depending on mass of moist air.
iii) Latent heat is measured considering the unit mass of the substance.
